Project Brief

A Nationwide study on 'Evaluation of Existing Capacities in WATSAN Sector' conducted by WASH Institute and Plan India revealed that a huge gap exists in qualified man power to address Water, Sanitation and Hygiene issues in the country. Hence this project was launched to fulfil the objective of providing skilled manpower to the sector through Capacity and Skill Building trainings (non-formal and formal trainings) across the country. Under this project many capacity building and training programs were held from the year 2008-2015.

Achievements

More than 3000 INGO/NGO professionals and officers were trained through our Capacity building training programs (ToT Training). Also around 500 master masons were trained to build quality toilets. Trainings were also offered to 682 Swachhtadoots and SHG leaders during these years.
