WASH India, in collaboration with Department of Drinking Water Supply, Govt. of India, Plan India, WES-Net India, UNICEF and Sphere India member agencies, is organizing a conference on "Cost Effective Sustainable Sanitation" at New Delhi, India on at the occasion from 28th to 30th June, 2010.

WASH Institute: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Institute, is a non profit training and development organization dedicated to provide practical solutions to a wide range of water, sanitation, hygiene and environmental issues in India and the neighbouring countries. Core activities of WASH Institute would be to undertake training programs to groom water, sanitation, hygiene and environmental professionals and functionaries involved in the sector. Round the year, WASH Institute conducts various formal and non-formal training/academic courses both on short and long-term basis including post training support.

Plan India: Plan India is a Child-Centered Development organization that aims to promote Child Rights and improve the quality of life of vulnerable children. Plan works in 11 states in India and has directly impacted lives of over a million children and their families since 1979. Plan’s Child Centered Community Development interventions focus on Child Protection and Child Participation, Children in Difficult Circumstances, Education, HIV / AIDS awareness, Health, Early Childhood Care and Development, Water and Environment Sanitation, Disaster Preparedness, Household Economic and Social Security and Community Governance.

Sphere India: Sphere India is a National Coalition of Humanitarian Agencies in India. The members include key nodal agencies from Govt. of India, UN, INGOs, NGO Networks and National NGOs. Sphere India facilitates (1) Inter Agency Coordination, (2) Training & Capacity Building, (3) Information & Knowledge Management and (4) Common Advocacy through a collaborative process for Quality & Accountability.

Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India: The Department of Drinking Water Supply has been making all efforts to ensure supply of safe drinking water and basic sanitation facilities to the rural masses and to achieve the Millennium Development Goal. Though the Government has been endeavoring to tackle the situation by taking both preventive and remedial measures, the scenario in the country still demands innovative ideas in the areas of appropriate and socio-economically sustainable technology and methodology.

UNICEF: The United Nations Children's Fund – UNICEF – works for children's rights, their survival, development and protection, guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child. UNICEF has been working in India since 1949. The largest UN organization in the country, UNICEF is fully committed to working with the Government of India to ensure that each child born in this vast and complex country gets the best start in life, thrives and develops to his or her full potential.

WES-Net India: WES-Net India is a learning alliance of stakeholders in the Water and Environmental Sanitation sector, including NGOs, UN agencies, private sector, consultants, government departments and donors. The objective is to improve knowledge sharing and co-ordination within the sector to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
